Read a lot of great reviews about this place, so I was eager to check it out. I got a couple pounds of pulled pork, and it was delicious. Great original sweet barbeque sauce came along with it. Decent value. Made my own sides at home for a better value, so I can't speak on those. To-go service was very fast. Location is somewhat hard to find for an out-of-towner as it sits in a plaza behind another building, at least from the street I was coming in on. Overall, I'd recommend.

Food is always hot. Flavor good. Quick getting it to you sometimes not accurate with order and somewhat expensive ! The nickel and dime you on extras.

We ordered 2 pork steak meals tonight... $10.99 a piece. The pork steaks were very weird tasting... an odd flavor. Almost like the had gone bad. Took 2 bites then threw the rest away. The corn on the cob was cold. The bread was as hard as a rock. Also got a tiny little container of potato salad that was so-so. Don't waste your money. Sugar Fire is a hundred times better. I'll drive a little farther for it next time.

I ate here when I was a teen and my God the food was so good which shocked me cuz I wasn't a fan of barbecue

First time getting food from them, had it delivered. came in the perfect time and the turkey I went with was so moist and flavorful. I also was asked if I wanted any bbq sauce and I asked for dry rub. they added a generous portion with my meal. well worth the money and recommend it to anyone .

Wish I could give no stars. Brisket dinner platter had 2 slices of thin cut meat, also very chewy. 3 meat dinner platter, the ribs were so dry. Spent $35 and we’re still hungry. I recommend to save your money don’t order

Best BBQ in town, and we've tried several spots. Pulled pork always so tender and tasty. Portions are plenty, needed a go box. Everything we've eaten there has been excellent. Surprised that there are not more Stumpy's around St Louis. Would be cool if they went back to their original location. Something about the ambiance.

Don't care for smoked meats. Would rather have charcoaled

Food was not good and it didn't taste like it was Barbecued, it taste like it was boiled.

Since Stumpy's combined with Cecil Whittaker's the customer doesn't know where to stand while waiting. Standing all over the place. Not enough wait/ clean-off staff. The extra room for lunch buffet is not even used.

Usually end up buying a pound or 2 of pulled pork here, and that's delicious, but I can't comment on sides or anything else.

We just moved here from Texas and had been looking for good BBQ. Well, we found it!!! We both got the combination plates with different things on them and tried each thing. Boy was it good!!! Hats off to the people there. The staff was super nice and the place was clean too

The brisket and cheese fries were fantastic.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't that good. I eat a lot of bbq but not from here. It seems as if they once were good and lost their steam. Now they are just riding the wave of their past success.It needs a fresh start and some renewed passion. The value just isn't there

We love Stumpy's BBQ. If for nothing else, you must go there for their smoked chicken wings. Don't ruin them by putting any sauce on them either. Just enjoy the wonderful taste of those smoked wings. They are to die for. For real!!! Everything else is great too. My daughter esecially loves the BBQ nachos. They always have some type of special that is a good value, as well. The location can be a bit challenging to find, but it is well worth it.

We got our food delivered to our hotel, was delicious! Everything was correct and still hot. Big servings, none of us could finish our meal. Took a bit to get our food (50 min) but it was well worth the wait. Bonus, cute delivery boy.

The portions are ridiculous. They give you your sides in little styrofoam ketchup containers. Very little peices of dried out meat. Small portions and high prices typically mean great food. Everything sucked. Not worth the price.

Went for the lunch buffer, it's a cheap buffet, but if you request it, they will sometines pit your pizza request on the buffet

We've been coming here for great barbeque for over a year now and love it! The kids' meals are a great value and a good size helping (very filling for our two growing boys!). My husband loves their nachos and I always order their pulled pork plate. The green beans and potato salad are wonderful side dishes to the nice sized helping of yummy pork w/ several sauces to choose from (I like the sweet and smoky myself). Love the decor of sports history EVERYWHERE - the walls, the tables...We have always had a great experience every time we've gone. Love that they put coupons in mailers too! This is a great place for a family meal or getting together with a group of friends. Definitely recommend!

I love the stumpy classic pulled pork sandwich. It's amazing and they have really good sweet potato fried. Great baked beans and old fashion green beans. If u like sports you will never get through all the pictures and great history.

Great food

Tasty food, amazing prices, laid back atmosphere. Picture it, it's a random Tuesday, you're exhausted from work and don't want to cook. You don't want to shell out the money for a sit down restaurant, but you want something better than the drive thru. Stumpy's/Cecil Whittaker's has you covered. Non-pretentious, just tasty food that's cheap. Staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Decor isn't fancy. It may not be the place to propose to your girlfriend... unless she's a wrestling fan... if so, there's a wall full of wrestler photos and memorabilia.

Glad I got the groupon coupon! The food was fantastic! We picked it up and took it home! I can't wait to try the smoked trout plate! I truly thought they have the best pulled pork in St. Charles County.

We’ve ordered delivery three times. First two times were expensive and the food was just ok but for the convenience we figured it was worth it. The third time has made it so we won’t be ordering from them again. It was expensive, the delivery guy all but threw the food at me and ran when I opened the door - I had tipped him 20% online, and the brisket was 75% inedible fat. It was nothing like our previous orders. It just isn’t worth the risk to get that again. It was horrible.

Came in on a Tuesday for the buy one get dinner plate. (With purchase of 2 beverages) For being a night with a great sale it seemed a little slow but I guess that's besides the point. The waitress and staff were cordial and greeted us upon arrival. We both had the combination dinner plates and we able to try the turkey, brisket, ribs, pulled pork and pulled chicken. All the meats tasted good but could have been warmer. My wife loved the beans and I thought the potato salad was good as well. We tried all three sauces and we were please with their full yet not over powering flavors. Overall we had a good experience and will probably come back for more when we are in the area.

Easter dinner..was perfect!... Thank you Stumpy's......The Stumpy's Spread ..With whole rib...and pulled chicken...was the Bomb!😋😋😋 The potatoe salad...Perfect!😊...Great service..... Cheaper..and the amount of meat is so much!......Much tastier than Bandanas😂

The wings and the andouille sausage are my favorites. The wings are smoked then fried so they have a really unique flavor and texture. Not soggy like normal takeout wings, which is nice.

Very disappointed in this carry out visit. I was directed to look at the website for menu and pricing. I chose the lunch rib plate which was supposed to be 4 bones for 6. 99. I was charged 8.99 and got only 3 ribs. Food was decent but nobody likes to be scammed like that. Called back to inquire about the discrepancy and was told the website has old pricing. Buyer beware I guess...

If the food doesn't put them out of business, their "manager" Matt surely will. Not a customer service bone in his body. Have a complaint? Oh well... Seek overcooked and reheated ribs and chicken elsewhere. And if you have allergies, make sure you hold your breath. The place hasn't been dusted in months if that! Nasty attitudes, nasty food, and a filthy atmosphere is all you get at Stumpy's. Save your time and money!

Good tasted good however portion size was for kids. Ordered the combo dinner 3 meats and 2 sides. I got 1 1/2 thin slices of brisket, probably a 3 inch cut of sausage, a cup of pulled chicken, a cup of potato salad and a handful of french fries. Cost $15.00

Best barbecue in st. Louis!!!!!! Better than Sugarfire!!!!

The food is ok, but I would say below average for a restaurant that specifically does BBQ. Portion size was decent. The regular sauce was just that, regular. The hot and spicy sauce was mostly just thickened up Frank's red hot. Nothing spectacular. We will stick with our regular BBQ place.
